Søren Thorup Sørensen was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group as of 1st July 2006 and is also Partner and a member of the Group’s Executive Board.
Prior to joining the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group, Søren Thorup Sørensen worked for KPMG where he joined as Auditor in 1987. He has held various positions within KMPG, in Copenhagen as well as London, and in 2005 he became Managing Partner of KPMG Denmark.
He has been A.P. Moller - Maersk’s external auditor for the years 2000 - 2005.
Søren Thorup Sørensen became a chartered accountant in 1992 and holds an MSc (Aud.)
Søren Thorup Sørensen is a boardmember of companies within the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.
